CONSTITUTION

1. The Title will be known and referred to as the Northern Malaya & Borneo Veteran's Association.

2. The Association Motto will be "All Gave Some, Some Gave All"

3. The Association Aims To promote the Association within the Community.
To honour our fallen comrades at all times.
To present our Association with Pride and Honour
To provide a sociable and hospitable atmosphere for all our members and guests
To abide by our Constitution at all times.

4. Membership Membership will be open to anyone who served in the Far East in any of the Armed Forces and Civilian ancillaries throughout any of the Confrontations in that theatre, subject to the Committee's approval.
5. Subscriptions To be paid yearly after each Annual General Meeting at a sum approved by the Association.
6. Meetings Association Meetings will be held monthly with a start time of 1300hrs. A dress code of smart appearance will be observed, the Annual General Meeting will be held each January with the opportunity of election of committee, Association accounts will be audited and available for perusal along with the Association Minutes.

7. Committee The Association Committee will consist of: Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership/Regalia Secretary and Three Committee members.

8. Dignitaries The Association will contain a President (Honorary Sine Die) also can be a committee member.

Association Standard Bearer. (Subject to the Association's Approval) also can be a committee member.

9. Discipline The highest standard of discipline will be upheld at all times, any member causing disruption or embarrassment during any Association Function will be suspended subject to review by the Committee.
Any member who brings into disrepute the Association or its workings will also be suspended.
Disciplinary matters will be acted upon by the Committee and subject to the Committee's decision action will be taken. Members who have been disciplined will be allowed 14 (Fourteen) days in which to appeal. Appeals can be lodged with the Chairman upon receipt of written intent.

10. Records The Association Accounts and Minutes will be available at all Association meetings for perusal.

11. EGM's Emergency General Meetings (EGM's) will be convened only in the event of serious matters and after notification from the Chairman.
The mandatory quorum of 5 (Five) committee members will be required to conduct such a meeting.

12. Parade Dress Parade Dress Code will be Beret, Cap, Hat (Optional) medals will be worn. Funeral Guard of Honour will wear white gloves.
Association Poppy Wreath will be laid at each Remembrance Day Parade.

13. Signatories There will be 3 (Three) signatories registered for the signing of Association cheques with 2 (Two) signatures needed to sign each cheque.
